If you haven’t heard yet, @qinniart has passed away. I am sad. Real sad. I’ve followed Qinni’s work for a long time, since her early DeviantArt days. There have been many times over the years when I’ve stopped drawing due to my own medical issues, but Qinni’s art and medical battles would often inspire me to get up and start again. In Spring of 2018 my health took a big dive and I thought that’s it, I’m toast as an artist. But… when I’d come across Qinni’s art online and thought about how it made me feel better, I thought that maybe I could at least try to do that for other people. So starting in Fall of 2018 I tweaked my style and found a new way for me to work around my health, with the focus on creating art to make other people at least a little happy - no matter how sick and broken I was. I am deeply, deeply saddened that Qinni’s fight ended how it did. I am grateful for Qinni and her work. Thank you, @qinniart. ✨
